Thinking Theology, Burkina Faso 2016

A gathering of church leaders and theologians from across west Africa

2016 Available in English and French

Over 100 people from across francophone Africa gathered for a four-day conference. Delegates came from ten different countries: Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad, DRC, Liberia, Benin, France, Mali, Togo and the UK. 

The four days consisted of plenary talks, panel discussions and workshops, supporting delegates to think about how we can be the salt of the earth.

Key topics included: 

  • the church’s call to integral mission 
  • cultural norms 
  • creation care 
  • gender 
  • human flourishing, and what a flourishing life looks like 
  • how to keep Christ at the centre of everything we do
