The impact of corruption on the communities where Tearfund’s partners are working has highlighted the need to tackle corruption as one of the key barriers to development. This report explores these and many other impacts of corruption on people living in poverty in developing countries. It is based on field research conducted by Tearfund partner organisations in Cambodia, Peru and Zambia and the communities with whom they work. It presents the experiences of people whose voices are seldom heard: those in the communities whose lives are most affected by corruption. It also suggests how these experiences should be taken into account in donor efforts to combat corruption.
