Impact and learning report 2017
Tearfund’s 2017 impact and learning report (PDF 6.3 MB) is a special 10-year edition which celebrates what we have achieved over the last decade in line with our strategy period.
In 2006 we set a vision to see 50 million people released from material and spiritual poverty through a worldwide network of 100,000 local churches. This report showcases how we have been working to achieve this goal by looking back at our impact in eight places over the last 10 years: Uganda (PDF 1.3 MB), Myanmar (PDF 1.3 MB), Malawi (PDF 1.3 MB), Cambodia (PDF 1.4 MB), Nigeria (PDF 1.1 MB), Democratic Republic of Congo (PDF 1.3 MB), Haiti (PDF 1.3 MB) and the Middle East (PDF 1.2 MB)
Each chapter includes an analysis of the context and key reasons for Tearfund’s response, a description and timeline of the key events over the last 10 years, including Tearfund’s interventions, outputs and the impact seen, and a case study which delves into one programme and the life of one individual.
In addition, there is a timeline showing the journey of our advocacy work (PDF 910 KB) on climate change and the environment over the last 10 years.
This PDF version is printer-friendly (PDF 6.3 MB) but also includes interactive links to other reports and sources when viewed digitally. You can also download the introduction (PDF 1.3 MB), conclusion (PDF 988 KB) and country chapters individually.
This is a short summary (PDF 656 KB) of the full report, including data showing our reach and a snapshot of some of the stories of transformation you can read about in the full report. It has been translated into French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Tearfund approach to monitoring and evaluation
As part of openness and transparency we seek to publish evaluations of projects funded, supported and delivered by Tearfund and its partners. You can access these evaluations by going to our Evaluation Site where you can search for evaluation reports and summaries from our evaluation database. This allows you to search by date, country, sector and type of evaluation. Alternatively you can browse our library of reports and summaries.
