Insights into Participatory Video: A handbook for the field
by Nick and Chris Lunch

This handbook and CD Rom provide fieldworkers with a practical guide to using participatory video. This approach, where local people themselves make videos, is a tool for communication and empowerment which can help ordinary and marginalised people to gain confidence and a voice. These videos can be used for engaging with policy and decision-makers, for participatory and community-led action research, monitoring and evaluation, as a way for communities to present development proposals and as a tool in conflict resolution. The guide covers the basic practical techniques of participatory video, key games and activities, advice for facilitators, technical tips and equipment requirements.

It can be downloaded free in pdf format from: www.insightshare.org/training_book.html

Print copies of the handbook cost £15 including postage. To order, contact:
