Section C2 includes activities to use with communities once they have decided upon an issue or problem they want to address. Perhaps there is a very obvious problem facing a community that they wish to change. Or they may have decided the main problems to address and what action they would like to take through a church and community mobilisation (CCM) process, such as Umoja.

The good practice guides in this section suggest some important questions to ask before starting a project, and during the project itself. Sometimes, they give step-by-step suggestions for how to go about things. They aim to ensure that action taken will have the results hoped for, and not cause unintended harm to people or the environment. And they help communities to think through how a project may impact different groups of people in different ways, and ensure that no one is excluded from the benefits of the project.
