This statement applies to all content published on Tearfund websites.
We are committed to ensuring digital inclusion for everyone. Our aim is to combine high levels of accessibility and usability, so that everyone can use our services, whatever their abilities. This comes from our commitment to help everyone involved with Tearfund – staff, partners, supporters, peer agencies, and communities we work with – develop an understanding of how they can engage with others in ways that take their individual needs and experiences into consideration.
Our ongoing site development and content is guided by best practice web accessibility guidelines, including WCAG 2.1 AA and ISO 30071-1.
Please note: our jobs site has its own accessibility page with further details of how accessible the service is, how to report problems, and how to request help. For more information, visit: https://jobs.tearfund.org/tearfund/jobs
Adapting your experience to your needs
We are always working to make our websites as user friendly as possible, but you may have a better experience if you change the settings on your computer to suit your individual needs.
For example, you may want to change the website’s colours, increase the text size, or have the text spoken aloud.
You can find help for customising your experience by using the accessibility features already on your computer, or by installing extra assistive technologies, on these sites:
- The Web Accessibility Initiative’s Better Web Browsing: Tips for Customising your Computer (in English only)
- AbilityNet's My Computer, My way (in English only)
Limitations of the websites’ accessibility
Accessibility testing has helped us to identify some barriers on our sites. Examples are given below with a way to get past these while we work to resolve them:
- PDF magazines such as Footsteps – some users may have difficulty accessing these. An HTML alternative is available on the website, which some may find more usable.
- Other PDFs – PDFs across our sites may not be suitable for all assistive software users. Please contact us if you need additional support and we will do our best to help you.
Please let us know if you need help
