In 2014, Tearfund teamed up with Oxfam and the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) to form a water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) consortium to implement WASH projects under the UK Government’s 'Payment by Results' programme. The resulting 'SWIFT Consortium' aims to deliver sustainable access to safe water and sanitation and encourage the adoption of basic hygiene practices in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya.
