A simple and effective way of trapping mice and rats

Here is a simple and effective way of trapping mice and rats.

Cut sections of bamboo as shown. Place maize or cassava chips in the bamboo. The rat will enter but then cannot turn itself around to get out. You can then catch the rat. I have found this very effective.
