About this course

Successful advocacy requires carrying out research, managing risks and carefully planning your advocacy actions.

In this course, you will learn how to carry out these steps and more to advocate on an issue in your community.

You will follow the story of a church-based organisation called HOANA as they advocate for access to clean and safe water in their village.

  • Short videos from advocacy practitioners as they reflect on their experiences.

You will learn how to use practical tools, such as a problem tree, to identify the root causes of issues in your community. You will also be equipped to plan your advocacy actions, manage risk and engage with influencers like the media.
