This study is part of a research project commissioned by Tearfund, ActionAid, Cafod, Christian Aid and Oxfam GB to look at the current and future potential of partnerships with national non-governmental organisations in humanitarian response.

The report looks at the effectiveness of humanitarian partnerships and the role of national actors in leadership, coordination and financing during the response to Typhoon Haiyan. It makes recommendations for action to strengthen partnership between the national and international humanitarian systems in the Philippines and more broadly in humanitarian responses in the future.
