Livestock play an important role in many households, in both rural and urban areas. They help people to eat healthily and contribute towards livelihoods. But without a basic understanding of how to look after and manage livestock, many problems may occur.

This tool discusses some of the basic challenges to livestock keeping and provides advice on where to go for further information. [For advice on keeping poultry, see Poultry-keeping – Good practice guide.]
