This case study explains how relationships between churches and national government in Ethiopia strengthened during Covid-19.
During the pandemic the national government recognised the positive impact of Evangelical Churches Fellowship of Ethiopia (ECFE) and other faith leaders in supporting local communities.
Churches were given increased opportunity to re-enter civil society space, for example by broadcasting prayers on national television.
