The four ‘I’s of adaptation

A report discussing climate change report recommendations, including the four 'I's of adaptation

2010 Available in English

Climate change is a major threat to all aspects of human development. Tearfund and our partners across a number of sectors – disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change, water resources management, food security, and environmental sustainability – are working together to adopt an integrated approach to adaptation to address the mounting climate crisis. As part of this process, an interim report has been produced which discusses learning recommendations, some from current practice and some from research.

This paper addresses recommendations for each of the four 'I's of adaptation: Integration, Investment, Institutional strengthening, and Information and involvement.
