How HIV spreads – Activity

Group activity to illustrate the ways in which HIV can be spread in a community

2016 Available in French, English, Portuguese and Spanish

Clinic at Bailundo municipal hospital, Angola

From: Reveal toolkit: Health and HIV

Tools about HIV and wider health issues, including care and drug addiction

This tool uses an interactive exercise to show how HIV and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) can spread in a community.

It then leads into a discussion about HIV transmission, personal risk and getting tested for HIV, helping members of the group to think about the risks and implications that HIV might have for them personally.
