This research project looks at the role the Church can play in helping to end FGM/C in Tanzania

This report is part of a series of community-based research looking at the potential role of the church to end female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C).

FGM/C is associated with a number of significant short-term health effects including pain, bleeding and risk of infection following the procedure, as well as many long-term consequences.
