Tearfund has supported its partner, ACROSS, to work in Mahad Camp since 2018. The camp in Juba, South Sudan, is home to approximately 1,500 households who have been internally displaced by the country’s civil war. Through a recent project, ACROSS aimed to improve general hygiene awareness and practices, menstrual hygiene management and environmental outcomes.

In 2020, an evaluation team evidenced the changes, both expected and unexpected, that have come about in the camp during the course of the project, and examined the contribution made by ACROSS to these changes. This impact report summarises the results
