Tearfund and the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council have worked together to research financing water, sanitation, and hygiene in Ethiopia and Sierra Leone. Their research shows that more funding is needed for low-income countries in the areas of hygiene promotion, sanitation, and local government. It also shows that better use of finance is needed through sector governance, regulation of the water sector, and reliable data and monitoring systems.
This resource summarises the current funding and finance management needs in Ethiopia and Sierra Leone and makes suggestions for how the stakeholders can take action.
