Income-generating activities are things that make money, like starting a business to generate a profit.

A livelihoods recovery programme can help community members to start their own income-generating activities, by providing business training, business grants and business mentoring.

This guide shares three steps for starting such a programme:

  • Assessing the market
  • Selecting business trainees
  • Running project activities
