Climate change and poverty

A research paper about climate change and the impact it has on those living in poverty

2002 Available in English

Many scientists consider climate change to not only be possible, but inevitable. Climate change has been linked to the recent drastic increase in extreme weather affecting lower-income countries which includes floods, high winds and droughts.

The aim of this paper is to raise awareness among Tearfund and partners of how climate change could affect those living in poverty within Latin America, Africa (particularly southern Africa) and Asia.
