A guide to help churches and local communities create effective disaster preparedness plans

We all come with our own understanding of resilience.

The second step in this toolkit includes actively listening to the local words a community uses when explaining resilience and talking about their experience. This expands our understanding and moves us towards a more holistic approach. Listening and using the disaster cycle tool encourages us to think beyond just disaster response. to preparedness, mitigation and recovery.
