Tools sharing good practice on influencing the decisions, policies and practices of powerful decision-makers in order to address underlying causes of poverty, bring justice and support good development

Bringing change for communities sometimes involves influencing key decision-makers, such as local government officials or community leaders.

This tool outlines the purpose of influencing people in positions of power, gives guidance on understanding power, and describes three influencing activities: talking directly with decision-makers, mobilising people and working with the media.
