We all experience conflict in our lives. Whether it is within our families, with colleagues or neighbours, there are times when we disagree with others. Disputes can have many causes, including land, natural resources, water, political power or religion.

This edition of Footsteps focuses on situations where conflict has become violent because people are trying to resolve conflict by using force. It includes suggestions for how to seek peace and resolve conflicts before they become violent. There are also practical tools to help you analyse conflicts and facilitate dialogue.
